All garments are strictly limited to one of one, and each is a beautiful reminder that our days are numbered. Wear the shirt. Be one of one.

In the 1970's, my dad spent his summers surfing in Central America. While he was there, he would purchase canvas and muslin feed sacks and coffee bags to bring back to the US.

They were then taken to a tailor where he would have the textiles made into garments.

He wore them often; On dates with my mother, which she still recalls. It's the best inspiration I can have as a designer and was what got me making muslins using vintage textiles in college. Fast forward: I ended up studying fashion design at Parsons and continued on to in the fashion industry in NYC for a decade and counting.

My most prized opportunity was working for Craig Robinson, a bespoke tailor, on 19th and 5th. He trusted me. He taught me everything I know and somehow dealt with my bullshit. I'll be forever grateful.

Being a CD at a global menswear label didn't hold a candle to that experience. Or this one.
