The For Scale Culottes are long, wide-leg shorts cut from deadstock taffeta. Strips of overlapping circles are stitched in horizontal rows onto the base fabric, leaving the lower edges free to lift and catch the light as you move. The last row extends past the hem, giving it a scalloped edge.
An adjustable bungee cord gathers the waist. A little eveningwear, right down to the drawcord.
Again, taffeta doesn’t have to be fancy. Wear these with a T-shirt, sweatshirt, or jean jacket. Wear them to the grocery store. Put away all that alo yoga gear and spice it up a little.
