this shirt is made from deadstock pinpoint cotton and is a blue and white microstripe. The textile itself is lightweight, but structured thanks to a light starch press.
The body is lengthened to tunic length with the center front placket buttons stopping at the waist. The hem is an exaggerated shirt tail hem as seen on classic dress shirts. Along with the exaggerated hem are the exaggerated sleeves. The sleeve length is longer than one would expect but with a lengthened sleeve cuff, they are easily rolled up to mimic a French cuff.
What I love about this piece is the tuxedo collar. To the naked eye, it appears as a grandfather collar. Only if you're paying attention can you see the tuxedo shirt collar wings. It could count as a double collar if you choose to wear the removable collar. But that's up to you!
