1970’s woven wool yarn coverlet. Frame, marigold, and royal blue wool yarns are woven into an all over diamond motif with decorative change in weave at the selvedge. This is a semi-open weave, with small gaps in between yarns. The warp of the textile is cream and yellow wool and the weft is thinner binding cotton yarns. Blue yarns are woven diagonally, creating the diamond motif.

This is not a sweater. Yes- it is made of wool yarns. No- it is not a knit. It is a woven and is more like a button down shirt than a sweater. There is no stretch.

I love love love absolutely love this piece. The textile is so unique in itself. It’s a great transitional piece the can be worn over a shirt, unbuttoned or alone on its own. Sexy. I call this piece sexy.
