absolutely stunning 1960s dimity woven cotton. Rich aqua floral stripe against a soft cream/yellow ground. This is a semi sheer, open weave textile that is just gorgeous. Photos don't do it justice, unfortunately.

flat felled clean finishing. French seams probably would have been ideal, since the shirt is so lightweight. French seams are typically only applied to lightweight textiles to keep the fine fibers encased and should only be used on delicate, lightweight fabric, like chiffon or organza, as the seam uses a lot of material and can get bulky with heavier fabrics.
