absolutely. stunning. 1920s broderie anglais linen table cloth. Original dramatic double scallop edges were kept as the hem. The most precise hand embroidery of bows and flora throughout. My favorite part about this textile is the hand feel and weight. It’s so cool to the touch and all of the handwork is beyond me. The cutouts in the leaves are magical and whimsical. Hey, the whole garment is quite whimsy.
the garment has a grandfather collar and a small shoulder to balance out the fullness of the sleeves. Elastic is enclosed in the sleeve hem so the sleeve may be pushed up or worn down. the scallop hem gives an all over high-low feel.
