Indigo Stripe Shirt Jacket - Men's M/L

$249.08
Out of Stock

This shirt jacket is made from two separate blanket textiles. I found both of the textiles in a vintage textile booth belonging to a West African man while at an antique show. He said that he lives just over the river in New Jersey and used to sell at the Chelsea fleamarket in the parking garage if any of you are familiar.

I loved both of the textiles but I didn’t love them as their own textile for a single garment. So I decided to seam rip all panels of the two blankets and create my own large textile alternating the strips I had deconstructed.

What resulted when I sewed all the strips together was an irregular length between the two different blankets. I decided to keep the irregularity for the bottom of the shirt jacket. I think it creates a unique visual while preserving the original hand-woven textiles.

Please note that all textiles are 50 to 75 years old and may contain irregularities and/or areas of irregular color. All stains and fabric imperfections have been treated by us to the best of our ability.

  • Model pictured is 6’1” and typically wears a size medium.

1/2 Chest: 23”

Front Body Length from High Point Shoulder: 28 1/2” (longest) 24 1/2” (shortest)

Shoulder seam: 7 1/4”

Sleeve Length: 23”

Across Back Shoulder: 20 1/2”
