this shirt is made from a 1940s hand embroidered dense midweight cotton table covering. the hand embroidery depicts stems of grain and golden flowers dancing across a soft ecru ground. 

The silhouette is a departure from the ever popular camp collar shirt, more fitted across the shoulder with a slightly longer sleeve and self cuff. The Italian collar is simply just one continuous piece, rather than a collar with a lapel. I’m not saying you heard it here first, but the Italian collar is back. It’s been lurking quietly in the background since the late 1950s and deserves some show time. A classic silhouette that can formalize the simplest of textiles.
